We live in a naturally beautiful area which offers many opportunities to be immersed in nature through the sea, the beach, the white cliffs, the round hills and rivers, the grazing meadows and the woodlands. At a time of climate crisis it’s becoming increasing important to help each other appreciate and protect Nature. Nature is very generous and giving and has endless gifts and healing powers to offer e.g. reduced stress levels, lower heart rate and cortisol levels by simply being immersed in nature which is now recognised by research.
This group is for people who are nature lovers, people who wish to reconnect with nature and each other by sharing their experiences of being in nature, for those who wish to increase their emotional wellbeing and restore mental health, people who would like to meet others in a safe and nurturing environment.
The 2 hour group session will include spending time in nature (weather permitting) engaging in nature based practices e.g mindfulness exercises, walk and talk, natural
art work, and sharing experiences in the group. It will offer the opportunity to relax your body and mind, feel restored and nourished.
If you wish to reconnect to Nature and to others come and join. There are only 10 places available so please book your place to avoid disappontments on https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/eco-therapy-group-10-week-programme-tickets-94727004019?utm-medium=discovery&utm-campaign=social&utm-content=attendeeshare&utm-source=strongmail&utm-term=listing
What is therapeutic parenting? It’s an approach based on key principles i.e. Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity and Empathy and how it can help to promote better relationships between parents and children focusing on relationship building rather than behaviour management. This programme is suitable to all parents who want to add something to their parenting; it is for those parents who might have lost the balance between the challenges and the rewards of parenting; for those parents who might be concerned about their child displaying overwhelming distress, anxiety or difficult behaviour.
The programme will aim to help parents reflect on their current parenting, develop new insights and ideas to put into practice and share their experiences with other parents in a safe and therapeutic environment.
It will also include going out in nature and reflect on key ideas being presented on the day.
The Programme runs as a regular group of 10 parents over 10 weeks. If you are interested in learning about therapeutic parenting and how it can improve and enhance your parenting and relationship with your children, please get in touch
